About the Practice:

A prominent and well-established facility in the Syracuse, New York area is seeking a skilled and dedicated General Anesthesiologist to join their team on a full-time basis. Opportunity:

This is an excellent full-time opportunity for a General Anesthesiologist to practice a diverse array of cases, including thoracic, vascular, neuro, trauma, regional anesthesia, and outpatient surgery. OB cases are not required. The position offers a challenging yet rewarding clinical experience. The call schedule is a manageable 1:10, with a post-call day off, promoting a reasonable work-life balance. Residents are encouraged to apply and gain valuable experience in a tertiary care setting. Responsibilities:

• Provide and manage anesthesia for a broad spectrum of surgical and procedural cases, including thoracic, vascular, neurosurgery, and trauma.
• Conduct thorough pre-operative patient evaluations and develop individualized anesthetic plans.
• Administer and monitor anesthesia safely and effectively, utilizing advanced techniques as appropriate (e.g., regional blocks).
• Manage patients in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) and address any emergent situations.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to all facility protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, other anesthesiologists, and the broader healthcare team.
• Participate in the 1:10 call rotation.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.
• Valid and unrestricted New York medical license (or eligible for licensure).
• Strong clinical skills across a diverse case mix, including complex surgical specialties like thoracic, vascular, neuro, and trauma.
• Proficiency in regional anesthesia techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
• Residents who are nearing completion of their training are welcome to apply.
