Physician Recruiting

Pain management techniques are always changing and for the better. In the early years, we could thank men like John Snow. At the time, his work with ether and chloroform was revolutionary, not to mention life-saving. Today, our debt of gratitude often goes towards machines instead and the people who stand behind them at the controls. Just take a look at the February 2015 issue of Anesthesiology News and you’ll see what we mean. Of course this increasing push towards robotics also has an impact on physician recruiting.

Contemporary physicians who specialize in pain management should ideally have a working knowledge of healthcare robotics. For example, they should at least be aware of the CT-guided best practices mentioned in the February 2015 article even if they’ve never been trained to use the device on their own. They may also want to stay on top of news regarding pain management tools that are currently in development, like the Chimaera.

And then there are the standby options too. Among them are radio frequency ablation, spinal cord stimulators, assorted injections, blocks, acupuncture, pharmaceuticals and cryoanalgesia. In other words, physician recruiters are looking for doctors who feel just as much at home with the latest technologies as they do with the time-tested ones.

With that said, doctors who have those skill sets are welcome to contact us. Our physician recruiting team currently has open positions for pain management specialists. The positions in question are located all across the nation, including in places like Florida, Maine, Alabama, Illinois, Arkansas, Maryland and Arizona. Many of the job openings do not require their pain management physicians to work weekends or be on call. They also tend to include competitive salaries and malpractice coverage.
