Opportunity

We are seeking a Full-Time, Fellowship-Trained Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join our elite team. This is a rare chance to step into a specialized role that focuses exclusively on Cardiac and Vascular cases.

With a 1:4 call schedule, you will play a pivotal role in the heart program while still maintaining an exceptional quality of life. Responsibilities

  • Manage complex Cardiac and Vascular cases, including valve replacements, bypass surgeries, and advanced vascular interventions.
  • Perform and interpret intraoperative Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) to guide surgical decision-making.
  • Develop and execute anesthetic plans for high-acuity patients with significant comorbidities.
  • Participate in a 1:4 specialized cardiac call rotation.
  • Collaborate closely with a dedicated team of cardiothoracic surgeons, perfusionists, and specialized nursing staff.
  • Supervise and mentor the anesthesia care team to ensure the highest standards of perioperative safety.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Fellowship Requirement: Completion of an ACGME-accredited Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology Fellowship is required.
  • Board Certification or Eligibility (ABA) in Anesthesiology.
  • Advanced Perioperative TEE Certification (or eligibility).
  • Current unrestricted medical license in the State of Michigan (or eligibility for licensure).
  • Strong clinical leadership skills and the ability to manage high-pressure surgical scenarios.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual Salary: Approximately $575,000 on a W-2 basis.
