An established private practice group in Brooklyn, New York, located minutes from New York City, is seeking experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) for full-time and part-time job openings. The practice specializes in providing outpatient anesthesia services dedicated exclusively to ophthalmology and gastroenterology (GI) cases. CRNAs operate under the supervision of a single attending physician in a structured, high-efficiency care-team environment.

This position offers an attractive daytime schedule with no call, no night shifts, and no weekend coverage.

  • Schedule & Shift Options:

    • Full-Time: 5 (8-hour) shifts per week with an 8-hour daily guarantee.

    • Part-Time: Flexible coverage for 2 to 3 days per week with an 8-hour daily guarantee.

  • Procedural Focus: Ophthalmology and GI procedures.

  • Clinical Perk: No eye blocks are required.

  • Supervision Model: Medical supervision by 1 Physician.

  • Candidate Requirement: Experienced CRNAs only.

  • Financial & Incentive Package:

    • 1099 Basis (Part-Time): Competitive hourly rate with an 8-hour guarantee per shift.

    • W-2 Basis (Full-Time): Competitive annual salary package.

    • Sign-On Incentive: $20,000 sign-on bonus for full-time CRNAs.

    • Vacation: 6 weeks of vacation included for full-time providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer safe general anesthesia, deep sedation, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC) for outpatient ophthalmology and GI procedures (EGDs, colonoscopies, cataract surgeries).

  • Perform pre-anesthetic assessments and airway evaluations for adult patients.

  • Monitor intraoperative vital signs, depth of sedation, and airway stability throughout procedural encounters.

  • Oversee post-anesthesia recovery care in the PACU and evaluate patient discharge readiness.

  • Maintain complete, accurate, and compliant Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation.

  • Collaborate closely with the supervising physician, gastroenterologists, ophthalmologists, and surgical nursing staff.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program (Master’s or Doctorate).

  • Current certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).

  • Experienced CRNAs only (demonstrated post-graduation clinical experience in outpatient GI and/or eye anesthesia required).

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) / CRNA licenses in the State of New York (or eligible to obtain prior to start).

  • Active Federal DEA registration and New York prescriptive authority.

  • Active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
