About the Practice:
A well-established and respected private anesthesia practice in the Fresno, California area is seeking a dedicated General Anesthesiologist to join their team. This opportunity is focused on providing high-quality anesthesia care in an efficient outpatient surgery setting.

Opportunity:
This full-time General Anesthesiologist position involves a variety of outpatient cases, including a small amount of pediatrics, orthopedics, regional anesthesia, and general outpatient surgery. No OB, cardiac, or trauma cases. Enjoy a flexible schedule with no call, no nights, and no weekends. This is a 100% own-case model, offering excellent autonomy and work-life balance.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide and manage anesthesia for a variety of outpatient surgical procedures.
  • Conduct thorough pre-anesthesia patient evaluations and develop individualized anesthetic plans.
  • Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care utilizing current techniques and medications.
  • Continuously monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthetic delivery to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical conditions.
  • Manage emergence from anesthesia and provide appropriate post-anesthesia care.
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records in accordance with practice policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in the outpatient setting.
  • Adhere to all facility policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Board certification in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) or the American Osteopathic Board of Anesthesiology 1 (AOBA) or board-eligible.  
  • Current unrestricted medical license in California (or eligibility for licensure).
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Strong clinical skills and the ability to independently manage anesthesia for the specified range of outpatient surgical cases.
  • Proficiency in a variety of anesthetic techniques, including general and regional anesthesia.
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in an outpatient setting.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Annual Compensation: $600,000 – $700,000 on a 1099 basis.
  • Schedule: Flexible scheduling options, Monday through Friday, with no call, nights, or weekends.
