An established anesthesia group in the Canton, Ohio area is seeking a dedicated General Anesthesiologist for a full-time job opening. The position covers two clinical locations, spanning both inpatient hospital and outpatient surgical settings. Operating within a collaborative care-team model, the physician will predominantly oversee CRNAs (99% medical direction/supervision) across a diverse, manageable surgical case mix.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide medical direction and supervision for CRNAs (99% supervision model) across inpatient and outpatient operating rooms.
  • Administer general anesthesia, regional anesthesia (e.g., peripheral nerve blocks for orthopedic and plastic cases), and monitored anesthesia care (MAC).
  • Perform comprehensive pre-anesthetic evaluations and risk stratifications for adult and selective pediatric patients.
  • Oversee patient management in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and address acute post-operative pain management needs.
  • Participate in a low-intensity 1:5 call rotation with minimal callback and no second call responsibilities.
  • Complete accurate, compliant Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation for all procedural encounters.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.
  • Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology Residency Program.
  • New Graduates and Experienced Physicians are welcome to apply!
  • Proficiency in regional anesthesia techniques (ultrasound-guided nerve blocks) and general anesthesia management.
  • Active, unrestricted Ohio Medical License (or eligible to obtain prior to start date).
  • Active Federal DEA registration.
