Responsibilities

  • Independently administer and manage anesthesia care for orthopedic, spine, and vascular surgical cases.

  • Perform, place, and manage advanced regional anesthesia techniques, including Spinals, Epidurals, and Peripheral Nerve Blocks.

  • Provide tailored Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC) for appropriate surgical cases.

  • Conduct thorough pre-anesthesia patient assessments and develop individualized anesthetic plans.

  • Monitor patient vital signs closely intraoperatively to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical conditions.

  • Maintain accurate, thorough, and complete clinical documentation.

  • Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nursing staff, and colleagues to maintain smooth daily workflows.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nurse Anesthesia and current national certification by the NBCRNA.

  • Valid and unrestricted license to practice as an advanced practice registered nurse in the state of Kentucky (or immediate eligibility for licensure).

  • Strong clinical skills and proven proficiency in safely performing advanced regional blocks (Spinal, Epidural, Peripheral Nerve Blocks).

  • Demonstrated ability to practice with high clinical autonomy.

  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
