Key Responsibilities

  • Administer general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, monitored anesthesia care (MAC), and epidural analgesia across B&B surgical specialties.
  • Conduct pre-anesthesia patient evaluations, review medical histories, and formulate individualized airway and anesthesia plans.
  • Monitor intraoperative vitals, depth of sedation, and physiological parameters throughout surgical interventions.
  • Manage post-anesthesia recovery (PACU) care and ensure safe patient discharge.
  • Participate in a 1:7 call rotation, maintaining readiness for emergency surgical and OB coverage within the required 30-minute response time.
  • Complete detailed, compliant Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation for all procedural encounters.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program (Master’s or Doctorate).
  • Current certification or eligibility for certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) / CRNA licenses in the State of Missouri (or eligible to obtain prior to start).
  • Active Federal DEA registration and Missouri prescriptive authority.
  • Active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
  • Proficient clinical skills in general surgical anesthesia, regional blocks, and OB/epidural management.
