  • Case Scope: Obstetrics (OB), pediatrics, vascular, orthopedics, regional anesthesia, and outpatient surgery (B&B case mix focus).
  • Cardiac Cases: Optional / negotiable based entirely on your individual interest and skill set.
  • Work-Life Balance: Low call schedule featuring a guaranteed post-call day off.
  • Locations: Active opportunities available in both the Coastal (Norwalk) and Central (Hartford) regions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and manage anesthesia for a wide variety of surgical and obstetrical procedures.
  • Conduct thorough pre-anesthesia patient evaluations and develop individualized anesthetic plans.
  • Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care utilizing modern techniques and medications.
  • Continuously monitor patient vital signs and manage intraoperative anesthetic delivery.
  • Manage patient emergence and oversee appropriate post-anesthesia care.
  • Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and the broader clinical team.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and participate in practice-wide quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Board Certification or Eligibility (ABA/AOBA) in Anesthesiology.
  • Current unrestricted Connecticut medical license (or immediate eligibility for licensure).
  • Strong clinical skills across a diverse B&B case mix, including proficiency in regional techniques.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork abilities.
