Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct, hands-on general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC) for outpatient surgical cases.
  • Perform comprehensive pre-anesthesia patient assessments, evaluate airway risk, and review health histories.
  • Administer ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve blocks and regional techniques for postoperative pain management.
  • Monitor intraoperative vital signs continuously, making real-time adjustments to ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Oversee post-anesthesia recovery in the PACU and confirm patients meet safe discharge criteria.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology Residency Program.
  • Board Certification or active Board Eligibility in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA).
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in the State of New Jersey (or immediate eligibility for NJ licensure).
  • Active Federal DEA registration and New Jersey Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) registration.
