Opportunity

Responsibilities

  • Surgical Management: Lead anesthesia for Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular procedures.
  • Cath Lab: Provide clinical support and anesthesia for interventional procedures.
  • Clinical Volume: Manage a steady flow of ~450 cardiac cases per year.
  • Call Participation: Maintain coverage via a manageable beeper call schedule.
  • Collaboration: Partner with cardiovascular surgeons and perfusionists to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Education: MD or DO degree.
  • Boarding: Board Certification or Eligibility in Anesthesiology (Fellowship in Cardiac Anesthesia preferred).
  • Licensure: Valid medical license in the State of Kentucky (or eligibility).
  • Expertise: Proficiency in complex cardiac management and TEE.
  • Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
