Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive outpatient clinical evaluations, interventional risk assessments, and targeted physical exams.
  • Formulate and implement personalized interventional pain management treatment plans.
  • Perform image-guided interventional procedures (e.g., epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, radiofrequency ablations, and joint injections).
  • Manage medical therapies and non-opioid multimodal pain management regimens.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) or Anesthesiology.
  • Formal Pain Management Fellowship preferred; candidates with demonstrated clinical Pain Management experience (without a fellowship) will also be considered.
  • Active, unrestricted Iowa Medical License (or eligible to obtain prior to start date).
  • Active Federal DEA registration and Iowa Controlled Substances registration.
  • Strong clinical and procedural skills in interventional pain management.
