Responsibilities

• Administer, manage, and precisely tailor general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC) for a wide array of scheduled adult outpatient multi-specasialty surgical lines.
• Conduct focused pre-anesthetic clinical evaluations on the day of surgery to ensure proper patient candidacy and optimize safety profiles in an ambulatory setting.
• Maintain complete, standalone clinical autonomy over the anesthesia plan, providing continuous physiological tracking and diligent airway management throughout each case.
• Supervise safe post-anesthesia emergence and oversee the immediate recovery area to ensure smooth, efficient, and well-timed patient discharges.
• Complete thorough, timely, and compliant electronic health records (EHR) and clinical charting immediately following the conclusion of each procedure.
• Coordinate closely and professionally with the practicing surgeons and surgical support staff to facilitate safe, steady, and efficient room turnover.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Georgia, or eligibility to obtain.
• Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology Residency training program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) or the American Osteopathic Board of Anesthesiology (AOBA).
• The Physician must carry and maintain their own independent professional medical malpractice insurance policy covering all active contract dates.
• Active, valid Federal DEA and Georgia state controlled substance registration.
